I. EDITORIAL
POPE PIUS XII, THE CHURCH AND THE JEWS
Born in Rome, March 3, 1876, Eugenio Pacelli was long right arm of Cardinal Gasparri, Vatican Secretary of State. In 1917 during the war world, he was appointed Nuncio to Bavaria, and in 1920, Nuncio of the new German Republic. In 1930, he negotiated a concordat with Germany, but Hitler took power in 1933 was responsible for numerous violations of the concordat.
Eugenio Pacelli is elected Pope March 2, 1939 while Hitler continued preparations for the Second World War. We will not waste our time here to report suspicious about the sometimes surly, guided and unjust that the appointment of Bishop Leonard as Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels has raised every day, especially among francophones on TV and in a Much of the press. They are unworthy of journalists supposed to objectively inform their readers ... The truth is that his detractors are afraid of him, knowing they will never be able to "put in a box" because of his intelligence, his clarity and a calm reflecting a singular strength of character. as I know, Christ and his apostles did not invite us to build our faith on a sponge, a soft material that absorbs and erases but on the rock. No offense to adherents of a religion bland, tasteless and colorless, Our Lord is "a cornerstone, not gelatin. I realize that I was lucky and I pray for all the children I knew in the past and who, for some, have become street children or to work without being educated.
