Cyclothymia in" Psychologies "Follow

Cyclothymia was sometimes described as a disorder "emotional", a personality disorder. Homosexuality was considered a pathology (the "sexual invert") then it is no longer so today. I think I have shown in my book that some environments such as the arts enhance the expression of Cyclothymic temperament. My question is: where is the pathology?.

Jamison wrote in Touch With Fire (p.5): "A Common Assumption, for instance, Is That Within artistic circles madness Somehow IS normal."

She tells a detail of the biography of the poet Robert Lowell began a manic episode. His wife worried but these academic colleagues and friends were Cicinnati he behaved like a poet when his wife saw him sick. While she was concerned and referred to the symptoms, they replied that this was the foolishness to them that it was "further proof of the genius of Lowell.

The degenerate "artist" according to Max Nordau: "He is very proud to be an instrument that vibrates so strongly, and he boasts of his whole being felt within devastated, his whole soul resolved, and experience to the fingertips pleasure of beauty, where the Philistine remains completely cold. His excitability seemed superior, he believes have a particular understanding is lacking in other mortals, and he willingly despise the vulgar whose senses are dulled and closed. The unfortunate not suspect that he is proud of a disease and boasts of a mental disorder. " In the first part of the book by Georges Canguilhem, "the normal and the pathological," we oppose the disease-possession (rejecting qqchose is recovering it's health) of disease-totalizing "the disease is not somewhere in humans. It is the whole man (...) ". As the author says, in the first case we expect nothing good from nature ...

What happens there in cyclothymia? There he has a virus to kill bacteria to remove a health cover? NO.

I can recognize that my nature or my illness makes me suffer and are a handicap, but I will ALWAYS cyclothymic or bipolar. So why not accept it as did the Greek and seek a balance, a harmony?

I think that bipolar disorder and cyclothymia were suffering my family and myself but here "cyclothymia" simply meant "artistic sensitivity". Whether you're Picasso, Kafka or John Ford or just a stranger but who lives and vibrates with intensity, you are always different and "artistic sensitivity" but even if you have not created this hypersensitivity when you Similarly, in the rough ...

"Since Bacon can not command nature except by obeying her" writing Canguilhem, Kay Jamison said he had "Tame the beast that had become beautiful" ....

"Definition of true happiness (a happy life, III, 3) by Seneca

" Incidentally, I agree with all the Stoics, I give my consent to Nature, do not deviate , to adjust its law and example, that is wisdom. A happy life is one that accords with his nature and can not be achieved if the soul is first sound and everlasting possession of this condition, then courageous and energetic then nice and patient, ready in any event without conscious anxiety and body that is concerned, industrious finally obtain other benefits which adorn life without any admire, ready to use the gifts of Fortune, not to enslave them ... "And if

we going to miss the point?

1. Editorial: the heyday of the Church in 2008
The visibility of the Church occupies the media and concerned about the Episcopal Conferences in Europe. This visibility is through a better response to spiritual needs of our contemporaries. The Episcopal Conference of France had its program in November 2008: "religious indifference and visibility of the Church." The latter appears to be decreasing, but the ones we consider indifferent are often preoccupied with the problem of values. It is necessary to distinguish between media exposure and visibility Christian, because it shows the Church of Christ as the sign of His Mystical Body. In that respect, 2008 is particularly rich. Here are three events.

First is the 49th International Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City from June 15 to 22, an exceptional week: the presence of 50,000 faithful from some forty countries and each day of conferences accompanied by solemn concelebrations dozens of Hundreds of bishops and priests on June 20, Ordination Young priests, eight of Famille Marie-Jeunesse, a new community of evangelization of youth.
The highlight of the year is the gathering of 350,000 young Christians from 200 nations in Sydney, Australia from July 13 to 20, with the Pope Benedict XVI, after two years of preparation: traveling evangelists in the outward and return journeys, Asia, Taiwan and Australia, the major celebrations in the midst of tens of thousands of enthusiastic young and enthusiastic, and a closing celebration with 400,000 young and old.
Finally, the highly publicized trip of Benedict XVI in France, September 12 Paris: meeting with 700 representatives of culture at the College of Bernardine; gathering of thousands of young people on the forecourt of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, 10,000 young people, lighted candle in hand, to the "path of light" along the Seine 60,000 young people spending the night on the Esplanade des Invalides on Saturday 13, 260,000 young and old to Mass concelebrated by 90 bishops and 1,500 priests (including several at the end jumped over barricades to surround a delighted Pope ) and the next day at Lourdes, a fervent Marian pilgrimage in the city, where six million pilgrims flock in this jubilee year. Many
were impressed by the immense and lasting silence, which left stunned commentators on radio, while the Pope prayed at night in the cave: we know that many "tough guys" have cried at that moment in front of their TV and have converted ...
These three events of 2008 show a visible and vibrant Catholic Church and a youth "who raises wheat" for rich harvests. We wish you a holy feast of Nativity of the Lord and a happy new year 2009.

2. Good news
Respect for life: progress and hopes

pluripotent cells: a real progress ! Two teams, Tokyo and Washington, pluripotent cells were obtained from samples of human skin: this is a step of great importance for the prospects of cell therapy. This discovery calls into question the therapeutic value of embryonic cell samples, which necessarily entail the death of the subject. Vox Vitae, December 2007 - Jan 2008.

Farm speech of Pope Benedict XVI to U.S. bishops on 16-4-08. America believes in God and does not hesitate to introduce into public discourse on moral grounds rooted in biblical faith. Even if this country is marked by a true religious spirit, the subtle influence of secularism can nevertheless influence their behavior. "Is it consistent to profess our faith in church on Sunday and then during the week to promote business or medical procedures contrary to this faith? Is it consistent for practicing Catholics to ignore or exploit the poor and marginalized, to promote sexual behavior contrary to Catholic moral teaching or to adopt positions that contradict the right to life of every human being from conception to natural death? "Man New, 10-5-08.

Any fetus born dead can be reported to the state civil and family book: he is entitled to a funeral, since two French decrees of 22 August. See Jerome Lejeune Foundation, 37 rue Volunteers, F-75725 Paris Cedex 15; http://www.genethique.org/ ; contact@genethique.org. Registration

embryos at school! Some nursery schools, victims of their success, now accepting registration for children not yet born, reported RTL-TVI. A basic elementary school immersion in Dutch (Brabant Wallon) has five embryos in its list of pre-registration, families taking it earlier and earlier to get a place for their child in immersion! Prohibition of abortion in the U.S. by "partial birth". U.S. Supreme Court banned a surgical method of late abortion by "partial birth". This involves the ejection of the baby when he turned and then he presents his head to face the "exit". As soon as the baby's head enters the vaginal opening, the physician pierces the head to empty it of its contents and thus remove the rest of the body more easily.
Youth for Life, March-April 2007.

The moratorium on abortion is gaining ground. The idea of a "moratorium" on abortion, similar to that which is forbidden in the United Nations about the executions, was put forward at the dawn of 2008, the Italian journalist Giulio Meotti.
In two months, the idea has already come a long way. Silvio Berlusconi said: "I think that recognition of the right to life from conception to natural death, could be a principle of the UN, as the moratorium on the death penalty adopted after a long and difficult debate. "
The New Man, 25-12-05.

"We 've been refused absolution! "An American Wedding, after many faiths incomplete, eventually releasing the piece: yes, she took the pill and could be waived for now. But the severity of the priest bore fruit: it gradually understood how the lie of contraception had hurt his marriage. She threw her plate of pills and for the first time in 30 years, began to follow Christ. 'This priest saved me ', said the mother of 3 children.

International Congress in defense of life during a Summer University in Louvain-la-Neuve! A first in Belgium: "Youth for Life" took the risk, themselves surprised by the success: 18 internationally renowned speakers from 8 to 11 September. In all about 250 people (including many young people) attended.
This event will benefit, even outside Belgium: different nations were represented: France, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Slovakia, Argentina, Rwanda, etc.. Faced with the visible joy of this beautiful youth tied to precious gift of life, we no longer have the right to be sad. As the time of St. Paul, we live "in a crooked and perverse generation, a world where you shine as centers of light, by presenting the Word of Life" (St. Paul to the Philippians 2, 16) .

Young and dynamic media

A "student newspaper of conscience" in Namur. Church and Media: "Particularly disturbing us! "
To The Point Church is wrong whenever she tries to see how much of his time. "I beseech you, disturb us, disturb the world," said the director of the weekly. "May the Church does not take the form of the century! If one day she hears the small muzzles of realism that ordered him to adapt to its time, it will fail in its mission [...]. Why should the Vatican rewrite The Ten Commandments of Moses, every ten years, according to the latest polls? When she received a blow, it seems to me that the Church has too often tend to turn the other cheek. "

Scouts of Europe finally recognized by the Church as a private association of faithful of pontifical right. 55,000 members (Europe, Russia, Canada). National Religious Advisor in Belgium: Father G. Longchamp, the Community of St. John.

priesthood and liturgy

A Missal in three languages in the USA (Missal St. Matthew's Cathedral in Washington): English, English and Latin. Because we consider Quiet as evidence that Latin is part of the Romanesque style catholic. That might allay some liturgical quarrels and inspire the Belgians, making possible without difficulty Masses in Latin for those who want it.
In defense of Gregorian: Father Carl de Nys, who once commented Judicial diametrically musical works at RTBF, wrote in 1996: "Work of Art in the forefront of the soul. The treasures accumulated through centuries of culture and faith, art and prayer in the fullest sense of the word, are marginalized by music or ignorant reactionaries incapable of understanding that freedom grows within the authority. " Vatican II's Constitution on Divine Liturgy at No. 116 recognizes the primacy of plainsong, the Word sung in our celebrations. Leo Moulin, 1906-1986, former professor at the College of Europe in Bruges, apparently presented as "agnostic" wrote himself: "Much has been made to democratize culture (...). The only known case of success in this area is that the effort made by the Church for centuries (...). Here, [the crowd] heard echoing the word of God and rise towards the ceiling Gregorian chant (...). I have a passion for Gregorian chant, which is an absolute masterpiece: it is the largest thing that humanity has ever created. You know it's the biggest musical production of world history: we do not get tired. It's amazing. "

Back in the religious policy?
In the sphere and political discourse, a U.S. website measures the frequency of the word "God" in the speeches of candidates for nomination. The word from Washington, that we can well rule the world without God and the Bible becomes the credo of world leaders.

down the faith to their children.
Philippe Dembour in "responsible parent! How to take the children on the path of life, chose to pass on the faith to his children: "As a Christian, I chose my path. For me, it is fundamental. We pray as a family and we're going to mass. It is important to keep the link. When you stop, you do not know when we get back .... " "Would it not be better under these conditions, with all due respect to the child, tell him about our own belief that he should know, and later it can position itself knowingly? We make many other choices for him, that of a school, a language, a sports club or a youth movement. "

finally proposed a reciprocity between Catholics and Muslims con-cerning the worship?
The Catholic-Muslim Forum (Rome, 4-6 November) issued a joint message. The 29 participants called "respect for the individual and his choices of conscience and religion", and "the right of individuals and communities to practice their religion in private and in public. " "We affirm that no religion and none of its followers should be excluded from society." In their eyes, "religious minorities" have also "the right to be respected in their own religious beliefs and practices." They also hoped that religions can have "religious buildings clean and that the" symbols "regarded as" sacred are not subjected to any form of mockery or ridicule. " Cathobel 7-11-08.

Abortion An abortion every 25 seconds in the Europe of 27, ie one in 5 children is murdered. It is a leading cause of mortality. And for the 60th anniversary of Human Rights, we would add the right to abortion ... and 46 million women have abortions each year worldwide. However it is moved into the fate of SU 779,860 small guinea pigs (especially rodents and rabbits) used in 2007 for experiments in order bio-medical ...

Spread the embryos predisposed to breast cancer or ovarian cancer. In Great Britain permitted the use of preimplantation diagnosis to select embryos with no predisposition to breast and ovarian cancer.

A British woman hangs herself after abortion. She committed suicide four months after an abortion of twins, for she felt that her soul had died with her children. Here are his last words assigned by writing: "Life has become hell for me. I would never have an abortion. Now I realize that I was a good mom. I told everyone that I did not do it, even at the hospital. I was scared. It is too late now. I died when my babies died. I want to be with my babies, they need me, nobody else needs me. "
Human Life International Belgium, May-June 2008.

Euthanasia

For an extension of euthanasia to minors and persons in senile degeneration? 6 years after the law on euthanasia ... the Netherlands, euthanasia is possible for children over 12 years ... To push it highlights some high-profile and emotive. Tactics is well known. Or "euthanasia is a violent death" (Mary Hennezel, best known specialist palliative care).

Sexuality, contraception and family

Sexuality without taboo in a Catholic school: St. Ursula Institute in Namur proposed for future kindergarten teachers from 14 to 17 years to see a movie and meet with leaders of Planned Parenthood Willy Peers (!) "under the big lights of the Festival International du Film Francophone (Fiff)" and work on contraception (according to the Future, 3-10-08). In addition to PS and CDH ministers want to impose their sexual and emotional education all Francophone children with the help of the only known family planning centers: their orientation is well known! Beau coup!

contraception free and anonymous: the solution is advanced in the past by the Higher Council for population and family: it betrays the youth! Pregnant minor of 5, 3 to choose abortion. However, by normalizing sex at school, increases the risk of "unwanted pregnancies". 57 girls of 10 years received a prescription for the contraceptive pill in 2006. Environmentally harmful as unnatural, the pill does not save mankind or nature. And the Socialists in Parliament Europeans want a reduction in VAT on condoms. Meanwhile, chastity is systematically denigrated.

Why Ireland said no to the Lisbon Treaty. According to the Catholic Primate of this country, because "successive decisions have undermined the family based on marriage, the right to life, from conception to death." Fam. Christian 6-9-08. Homosexuality

HALDE punishes the "game of the seven families." The High Authority against Discrimination and for Equality (HALDE) said that the traditional "Happy Families game" would soon be being phased out. Indeed he staged couples and heterosexual affiliations must, hence the condemnation of Louis Schweitzer, the president: "It should take into account the multimodality of the modern family: gay couples, cohabitants, multicultural families, polygamous settings, etc.. but childless couples, adoptions, blended families and surrogates are now the hallmark of our identity social, what our children need to integrate from the smallest children, including through the game. " Manufacturers have until 2010 to propose a new edition " more citizen and representative of Diversity. "

homosexual unions.
The Protestant Church of Belgium does not take a position and leave the choice to his parishes in this regard: each Presbytery is asked to form an opinion.

Bishop Leonard struck public opinion about homosexuality?
He obviously did not care to be politically correct, it is neither trader nor a politician ... He has as much right to express that tartempions cluttering the media. Precisely his department makes it a duty to take a position in a way that may shock the servants and artisans of the public, including the 'tolerance' is well known selective ... He vigorously shakes conventional wisdom ... This also provides an air stream beneficial in the polluted atmosphere of unanimity qu'entretiennent complacent media who manipulate us. "
(J. Dubois, Liege, LLB 25-4-07).

Socialists in the European parliament want a response to be protected lesbians and gays in Uganda. But will there be concern about the fate of the population living in one of the least developed and one of the poorest?

Bioethics and moral

A pharmacist can not abuse his conscience clause in a care! A pharmacist refuses Ruisbroek, on behalf of his Catholic beliefs, ways of delivering contraceptive products used for euthanasia, morning after pill. Lay before the Council of Belgium, the College of Pharmacists said that if pharmacists can invoke a conscience clause, "their rights and freedoms stop there or start a patient's right to his own convictions." Clearly, the pharmacist should issue the refractory drug that hurts his conscience. La Libre Belgique, 19-12-07.

Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven: to end the "K" (Catholic). KUL, experimentation on embryos. The rector told Vervenne Tertio that "Rome has to admit that we are once 'not OK'." Anyway, he does not want to end experiments on unborn life. With Rome if possible, otherwise without Rome. "The university must consider the stark reality." In case of IVF embryos are grown one does not know what to do, it seems unimportant to the rector. And what happens if we a 'too many children' in the uterus after implantation? It "reduces" the remainder. Nice euphemism! Supernumerary embryos - stored in tanks icy - was at hand, one can not resist the temptation to use them for research. Belgium
Human Life International, January-February 2008.

"Surrogacy" (new euphemism for surrogacy) will be the subject of the next revision of the bioethics law in France. Procreation become the mere production of goods. The carrier would get the amount of "compensation "But could also exercise its right to abortion. "How human space the most beautiful and most sacred that is the womb could he become the place of unutterable violence? "(Benedict XVI to the youth in Sydney). The New Man, 30-8-08.

The Big Bang population.
According to the program "Thema" of 27-03-07 on "Arte", the population in Western Europe will be majority-larly the elderly, in 2030. Old age pensions would no longer insured health care would reduce only the most wealthy seniors would more assisted. People do not want more children: "They disrupt our lives too." CFO-news Q3 2007.

But there is in Europe, a dramatic drop in births. Russia has even had to react and closed clinics. When will we stop "wanting to be like God"?

derision, persecution and attacks

Jesus A "couch potato" in Namur!
"One day two young boys wanted to 'wake up' the city Meuse. What to do? Hoisted on the Place d'Armes in Namur Mahomet size? Blasphemy: we may to catch a missile sent from Baghdad on Namur. The bust of a politician turned red to the stock market? A fatwa fulminated from Mons would immediately pulverized. But why not a big Jesus crowned with thorns, paper mache, sprawled in an armchair watching TV? Awesome! The cathos are accustomed to them and hit them back to do the big name of tolerance ... Here is exposed a "masterpiece" of Fine Arts of a modern-Hystero Collective, witnessed a primary anti-Christianity . Well no! we are tired of these jokes in poor taste and see our Christian symbols operated by an ad ridiculing one that prevents us not to worship as the Son of God. Derision ends persecution: see Christians in Iraq and India! We advocate for usability in a delicate mutual respect for each conviction: we hate buffoonery. Looking at his sleeping companions, Saint-Exupéry said already: "They would both need a Savior! .
(Denied by Towards the Future in October 2008).

Satanism: An anti-Christian racism.
The desecration of graves in cemeteries are increasing alarmingly. Between 2005 and 2006, they increased 60%, affecting mainly the cemeteries where Christians. This racism Christianophobia has a name: Satanism. Recently, a young convicted confessed: "We wanted to fight religion ...." It rose among young people. In France, nearly 25,000 people are involved in a satanic inspired by Nazi ideology and beliefs of Celtic or Scandinavian, 80% of supporters would be less than 21 years, seduced by video games and forums dedicated to Satan, Lucifer, music to black metal, to gothic culture. Many morbid excesses are particularly worrying: "[...] Self-mutilation, scarification (cutting the skin), incitement to racial hatred ..., acts of barbarism against animals."
Family Christian, 12-4-08.

Exhibitions blasphemous!
A crucified frog pulls his tongue, holding a beer mug in one leg and an egg in another. The pope called it blasphemous, for believers are in the cross the symbol of the love of God. She will go to London, Venice, New Tork and Los Angeles. - The philosopher Chantal Delsol reacts in Le Figaro (5-10-08): "I am a Christian. I suffer when I see pictures ridiculing Christ on the Cross. I am surprised to see me around then so little outrage (...). A force to assert that it rains when we spit in the face, our people will eventually make cowards of all that he deliberately did not want. "

open persecution against Christians
During that subsidizes mosques in France, Algeria is closed churches and are hunting down Christians. French priests can not get a visa for Algeria. - In India, in Orissa, 500 Christians killed and hundreds of houses and churches burned or bombed.
In Mosul (Nineveh province, Iraq) there were 25,000 Christians, the fact remains that 500: it is a "true liquidation campaign" waged against Christians, and half have been forced to "leave the land of Islam, as a result of intimidation, kidnapping and executions after torture. Distributed leaflets in the street, inviting Christians to leave within 24 hours, otherwise "you will be justly punished and killed as the Islamic religion in order for those who, like you, venerate the Cross." In February, the Chaldean archbishop of Mosul was found dead (The New Man 8-11-08). Fifteen Christians have been murdered.
In Turkey, before the second world war, Christians were 20%: 1% today ... "Since the advent of Islam was born 14 centuries ago in this region, the Christian presence has steadily decreased. In this area (Arab East, Iran, Turkey) Christians are more than 14 million of 283 million (according to Annie Lawrence, Family Christian, 1-11-08).

Liturgy / Priests

liturgical abuses in the seventeenth century Half a century after the promulgation of the Missal of St. Pius V The most troublesome disorder still reigned in some places. Maintenance of St. Vincent de Paul gave his priests May 23, 1659: "Oh! if you had seen, I do not mean ugly, but the diversity of ceremonies of the Mass, forty years ago, they would have made you ashamed of it seems to me there was nothing uglier in the world, the various ways in which it is celebrated: some began the Mass by the Pater Noster, others took the chasuble in their hands and said the Introibo, and then they put them on the chasuble. I was once in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, where I noticed seven or eight priests all said that the Mass differently was one one way, another another, it was a variety worthy of tears. Gold extra, God be praised for what he likes to address his divine goodness gradually to this huge mess! . What would he say today?

Pope? "An old Nazi."
So said its students with a Catholic religion teacher at a Catholic school in Brussels, she says Buddhist lesbian.

Will there be demolition of young priests loyal to the Church ?
A young courageous priest is seen pulling his Roman collar by the dean, must leave his parish he had saved and is now without any liability parish. In another diocese Belgian, a young religious faithful in the liturgy, loses his place because he was told officially: "If I keep you, I will have trouble." In yet another diocese, a young and zealous priest classic moves: "I can not make you feel physically," said the dean. Frankly, we still want the priests? Belgium, what do you think of your priests? Replace courses in religion and morality by more sport at school? The French Minister of Youth wants. Unexpected result of the lackluster results of the Belgians in Beijing ... In truth, he would have to give themselves over religion seriously. A father whose son attended a Catholic school teacher questioned the content of his courses: " Do not worry! I speak only of Jesus! "...

Cardinal Danielou wrote in his book The Future of Religion:" The crisis of Christianity is not a lack of adaptation to the modern world than in the internal weakening of the Faith. (...) The day young boys and girls include as understood the great apostles of the past, how to serve his time, is to serve God's presence in his time, seminars and novitiates is remplliront.
4. The Church seen by a Protestant pastor converted

In The coup de grace (Trinidad Publishing Media Communication, Paris, 2000), the Protestant pastor Richard BORGMAN develops pleasure in what he loves the Catholic Church. For him, Catholics should welcome the great treasure of the church, untouched since 2000 years. The parable of Matthew (13, 44) does it not say that he who has found a treasure in a field sells everything he has to acquire it? The author loves anything that affects the church: the Vatican, the Magisterium, the Catechism, pilgrimages, cathedrals, Marian meditation of the mysteries of the rosary, etc..

Tradition, we can be proud of, and the scripture spring from the same source: Jesus. By evacuating the Tradition, Borgman believed that he needed one, since "God spoke to him directly! So he developed a certain pride and missed something important. "When a Catholic becomes aggressive, independent and got rid of the Tradition of the Church, I cry. When someone disparages my big brother ... the pope, my heart is torn, "said Borgman, who fears the protestant church.

Obedience confident (which Mary gives us the example) that advance the whole Church together. In this community, united and living, each has its place and can be cured of solitude. The goal of Satan is to put the mess in that order, to prevent the body of the Church to function as a spiritual head (Christ) and body (the Church).

Hence the importance to Borgman, the communion of saints: "What joy to know we're not fighting alone! The angels and saints help us effectively in spiritual warfare. The world is perishing, because we are not asking saints to intercede with us. " Prayers for our deceased can certainly help; Some also believe they can intercede for us, but the Catechism of the Catholic Church does not affirm this point.

Here are some other jewels of the treasure: the Eucharist, "or massive presence of Jesus" confession, a unique and wonderful experience, which gives us the grace of a deep inner peace and deliver us from guilt ; the priesthood, allowing meditation, contemplation, life devoted to God alone. For Borgman and his wife, the highest honor their son Scott would become a priest. Finally, here's their valuable perspective about the ecumenical-ménisme " We can build bridges between the different denominations (Christian) that if we are steadfast in our Catholic identity, and not reducing everything to the lowest common denominator. "

5. Close the "C" that I can not see! ...
In defense of the "C" (Catholic) in the Scouts

"The Federation of Catholic Scouts has been transformed, without warning, by an arbitrary decision and a coup in 'Scout Federation Baden-Powell de Belgique '. Catholic parents are deeply concerned and are ready to change direction proposed in their teens. We just wanted to be in the wind '(which is characteristic of leaves): the slightest reference to the Catholic character of the movement (...). But here it is: many schools had already raised initials cleverly disguising any religious connotations, such political party has also hidden the 'C we can no longer see', and UCL would also lose its 'C' without nostalgia, as considered 'weird' and 'outdated'. To this admirable youth movement is to betray a legacy of values which we substitute a blur more ambiguous. And after that, we will lament seeing that young people have lost any reference point in a society suffering from amnesia, with all the dramatic consequences of which we are daily witnesses. Whose fault? . Mail from a reader of Namur, refused by La Libre Belgique.

"What difference will there scouting with pluralistic? ... The risk is it not 'lose troops, who will look elsewhere for a more explicitly Christian reference? "(Ch. LLB Delhi, 16-9-2008). "The rulers, great leaders of the 'defunct' FSC / FCF, have decided to delete the C ... The scout leaders will they be equally inspired by Buddhist Trotskyite, atheist, etc..? "(Courier LLB). "The reference to Christianity is an asset and not a barrier" (Alain Roba, who launched a petition: www.lepetition.been-ligne/scoutisme-et-le-c3271.html ). It is clearly understood that God must leave the stage of scouting. The world certainly cathos bother right-thinking ...
LLB Courier 9-10-08.

And the University of Louvain?
"So a handful of professors at UCL wishes to drop C: Catholic label no longer corresponds to reality! "(Dr. Van den Hove, LLB 22-10-08).
"Remove the C of the UCL, he removed his soul ... Our young people do not know the culture of death, in a society of will power, combat, intrigue, deceit, greed, abuse "... Lack of history of the Church, presenting the Darwinian evolutionism as a scientific truth, then it is only a hypothesis partly challenged by a number of scholars. "The success and reputation of universities Catholics in America and Asia prove that they are appreciated by students and parents, often non-Catholic, because of their reliability, their tolerance for other religions, for the open and loyal to their convictions " (from J. Van Godtsenhoven in a letter refused by LLB).

"If so many Muslims and atheists open feel at UCL, it is precisely because the values they are taught by a number of professors claiming Catholicism are universal values based primarily on Christianity ... If membership Catholicism in the house that you work for decades bothers you so much, why are you staying? (Cl Declercq, in SU, 30-10-08).

"To accommodate Muslims, who remain, should we give up being a Catholic? . And do we forget those secular institutions founded by the Church: Universities, colleges and schools, youth groups, hospitals ... (by Ch Delhez, LLB 28-10-08).

And when we have "bazard the 'C', it will be the market place of diplomas, trade and 'The Competitive University of Louvain' ... or 'University Commercial Louvain '... Speaking of charity, eternal life, resurrection, sacrifice, salvation, conversion: all this should be illegal in your University of Louvain without C ... An acronym comes immediately to mind: University Consensual of Louvain (Chr. Arnsperger, LLB 22-10-08). Fortunately it seems that the bishops and the Jesuit provincial want to keep the term "Catholic".

6. Readers'
"What is it to list all such attacks [against the Church] and conclude violently as you did? ... Scream our outrage? What was Jesus doing when attacked? He was silent, or answered with gentleness and patience. " A reader of Brussels

Editorial Note. For some, would mark our words and divisive, divisive and hence an object of scandal, because we're hunting for abuses in the liturgy and speeches unorthodox. In fact this is with a heavy heart that we denounce the excesses of these materials, but we see this as a duty, since it is precisely this that shocked the brothers, already shaken in their faith by the media discourse paganistic . It is these abuses that generate the division of Christians - and often priests - displaying their disregard for the directives of the Magisterium, entering into rebellion against the pope and bishops as before Luther, Calvin, Henry VIII of England. Christ prayed for the unity of his Church, deny that it is the disobedience to those he has set up.

(After the beatification of the martyrs of the English Civil War). "I was shocked by the news ineligible to top of the LLB in October 2007. The eye-catching title Franco beatified is insulting to those who died victims of religious persecution of the bloodiest in history modern. I wonder how La Libre could evoke serious when the time comes, martyrdom of Catholics, Chinese, Vietnamese, Somali, Mexican, etc.. Worse than the title, the article that follows will reveal a great casual, the worship of the confusion and ignorance of this tragic page in the history of Spain (...). I think in the interest of LLB and particularly its survival, it is time that the newspaper's management realizes that in religious matters, slips are more frequent (...). Some feel they have to push up the ratings by running routinely taunts against the Church, whatever topic they treat (...). Those who were beatified today died in witness to the faith. They deserved LLB another tribute that the newspaper has reserved them. "
Letter to La Libre Belgique, transmitted by Bishop Michael Schooyans

"The venerable texts and the singing of psalms wonderful tunes are replaced by the texts hollow and vapid music ... Since the introduction of this spirit 'ole-ole 'Never have been similarly desecrated churches depopulated in favor of cults flourishing' rumps bastards' sometimes working within the Church itself! 'I have my own way to celebrate, you've noticed, but as each priest has his own ...' said a priest when he arrived in his new deanery ... Who dares thus finally throw a big kick in the anthill 'rebels' who 'used' to their advantage the Second Vatican Council to express their individual fantasies? They ignored the vast silent majority of believers who, tired of having to bear these outrages have Sunday with great sadness, gradually left, not necessarily the Church but churches, on tiptoe. These lines I have been inspired primarily by my admiration for the courage of VE. A reader of the province of Luxembourg

"Great, thank you for your excellent review, always helpful, of great interest to read and keeps us informed of the progress of the world and the Church. Kudos to you. After reading, I send it to the Abbot of St. Wandrille (Normandy), who greatly appreciated. We have already been sentenced to very heavy fines and charged us for being opposed to the law of abortion in France.
Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Gerhard Fiego de Izarra, Honorary Physician to the Faculty of Medicine of Paris, winner of the French Academy, France

"The distinction between clergy and laity goes back to the choice of the Apostles, narrated in Mark 3, 13-19. The laity, too, must work to establish the Kingdom, not only in secular works, where they enjoy autonomy, but also in the apostolic work, by which cons are subject to the authority pastors title ... So going there in a parish council, responsible for assisting the pastor, he never give orders. It is a grave mistake to blur the distinction between priests and laity. Is first prescribed to oppose the evangelical and depreciate the sacrament of orders and is also selling off the priestly responsibilities and open wide the door to doctrinal excesses. We had moms that catechists have their good will, and yet, one of them made no secret of his disbelief! Replace the laity to the priests, is creating what Paul VI called "the destruction of the Church." A layman in a parish bulletin in the region of Namur

Petition: cons calling psychologies abuse antidepressants

© Psychologies.com 2008 It is high time as the doctor said and columnist for Psychologies Serge Hefez, "stop the medicalization of suffering (CF my post on the wonderful book by Dr. Texier, The Praise of the Depression) for sadness or even suffering are not pathological." A magazine reporter has been placed for a patient "stressed and distraught" and virtually all GPs gave mechanically anxiolytics or antidepressants without any scrutiny!

As highlighted in the review, there are alternatives, "walking" as mediation, exercise, light therapy, spa therapy, omega-3, acupuncture, St. John's Wort but I still think that nothing replaces the Other, the authenticity of reports.

Is it handled since the 20s by the banks?

Yes

since the 20s and even before! And not only the people are manipulated, as our leaders! They are chosen by banks to govern a country!

is what we discovered in the light of French and foreign archives, most of them never even stripped, Annie Lacroix-Riz recalled the origins of Vichy. A trial

very committed, which disrupts our understanding of this period in the history of France and beyond, international relations.

This book defends the thesis that men of Vichy prepared their arrival in power and institutional change, necessitated by the crisis, passed by the French defeat.

The book shows well in a new approach, the causes of the occupation are primarily internal. It addresses the question of the type of actions from 1933 to 1939 for the Rome-Berlin axis.

importantly, it highlights the decisive nature of the economy in the operation of the French society of the 30s.

What are the causes of the French defeat of 1940 ?

How to understand the commitment bankers and industrialists in the "economic cooperation" with the Germans between defeat and the liberation of Paris without questioning the previous phase?

The ruling classes have French planned in the 1930s , like their counterparts guided by the Belgian National Bank of Belgium, next occupation of their country by Hitler's Germany?

anti-bird flu plan: Cap 21 calls for a commission of inquiry

17/10/2008

PARIS, October 16, 2008 (AFP) - The movement of Corinne Lepage Cap 21 has claimed on Thursday a parliamentary commission of inquiry "about the real state of preparedness of our country on the operational plan" for a possible avian flu pandemic.

The organization responsible for managing stocks of medicines to counter a possible bird flu pandemic is no longer a director since June, according to reports in the daily Le Parisien. Professor Didier Houssin, interministerial delegate for the fight against bird flu has told AFP that a new director would be appointed to "advance this issue." "The interview with the prefect Boubé Bernard, former director of the EPRUS (Establishment of Preparation and Response to Health Emergencies) in Paris reveals significant deficiencies in the management of drug stocks and masks, because of their dispersion in care facilities and the lack of monitoring on the risk of expiration or termination of the cold chain, "the statement said Cap." 21 On such a fundamental issue, Cap 21 (...) calls for the creation of a commission of parliamentary inquiry in order to make an inventory comprehensive and transparent of the readiness of France, "the statement added.

Questions: Is it threatened by an outbreak of bird flu? Why is there no director in place for anti-bird flu? Has it something to do with avian flu vaccinations in the U.S.? Why is there no follow up? Why are there deficiencies? The government does not care about us?

José Bové Europe Ecologie and the Greens: The Call to rally The urgency is there, everywhere, visible to all!

crises ecological, social, food, energy, economic, financial converge into a global crisis, deeper every day, every day more violent.

It infects the world, overwhelms the weak, spares nobody. The search for ever greater profits for a few more causes of predation, pollution, shortages, corruption, wars, inequality for all others.

Our profligate consumption of natural resources now exceeds 40% capacity the planet to regenerate. The diversity of living declines. Climate refugees jostle border. Financial capitalism has speculated on the debts of the poorest people, contributing to economic recession and social regression. Rich countries, ready to inject more than 2000 billion euros into the financial system to save it from its excesses, refuse to engage the twentieth of this amount to stop the horror, every five seconds, a child who dies to be poor. These "debts", as the runaway warming or the disappearance of thousands of species, are otherwise terrible and irreversible.

This growth model is doomed to credit. We have further evidence every day. He advances to the blind, without collective vision.

To change requires action! We must act! Everyone can act!

is now imperative that environmental and social policies must guide our choices. Economy of intelligence, wealth-sharing and millions of jobs, the economy is to replace the pension, productivism and overconsumption, which advocates a coalition of private interests and policies. Regulating the service of all is to replace the laissez-faire in favor of a few.

Our individual and collective responsibility is engaged. We are not starting from zero. Many battles have been conducted and have led to advances. But only a general mobilization will effectively prevent the depletion of our planet and its consequence, the collapse of humanity. The transformation of our societies towards a collective well-being is possible because there are solutions. Not tomorrow, not maybe, but now!

  • A space open to all and to all those willing to defend the regulation values and solidarity, moderation and sharing;

  • A space open to all those and all those eager to build an environmentally friendly alternative, a prerequisite to social justice and better living together;

  • A space open to all women and all those who want to give a vision and a soul to Europe, our common home, into the handle of another globalization, in the service of peace, and leaving their place in the South.

Secret meetings with the EU to impose GMOs

This Sunday, The Independent on Sunday reveals a scandal at the European level. The leaders of 27 countries of the European Union meet in secret to accelerate the approval process for GM crops, the opponents counter and reassure people by involving representatives of industry. The heavy artillery is out ...

Sunday, October 26, 2008, The Independent on Sunday gives us a summary of some confidential documents rather amazing. Secret meetings were convened by Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission and chaired by his head of cabinet, Joao Vale de Almeida. At the request of Barroso, Prime Minister each of the 27 appointed a special representative. For France, it would be a "close associate " of Nicolas Sarkozy. On the menu these private little dance, a highly strategic and urgent matter: to find ways to accelerate the cultivation of GMOs and to persuade citizens to accept them.

LMOUS shorting the Council of Ministers and bypass the blockage "democratic "

In Europe, currently, people are mostly opposed, even in countries that allow them, like Spain. Forcing governments to block certain decisions in the Council of Ministers. But the European Commission is not required to ask their advice to governments, or members Europe. It is not required either to explain before any court, it is also that, Europe! The European Commission will therefore impose its choice, as it has the right. These meetings are confidential and intended to cut corners.

Réunions secrètes OGM industrialists to maneuver, Monsanto head

The conclusions of these meetings clearly show that the 27 wish " expedite the approval process based on sound assessments in order to reassure public opinion. " And the best way to reassure the public public, for our leaders is to encourage representatives of agriculture and industry - an example at random, Monsanto - to be more vocal to counter the environmentalists. Documents and deliver, finally, some advice courteous for " deal in the best public " should " a dialog based on passion and high standards of GMO policy of EU . Barroso himself, also insists on " the role of industry, economic partners and science to actively participate such a dialogue, "to reassure" citizens who feel poorly informed . "Because, he says, the debate" should not be left to certain groups who have a legitimate interest but material ". What a program.

far, the biotech industry remains on the defensive. His arguments are mainly that GMOs reduce pesticide use and are essential to feed the world. arguments that took as cultures remained confidential, but which today are widely disputed. There is however no doubt that with coaches the likes of Barroso and Sarkozy, industry will bounce back and find new arguments to reassure us ... secretly.

I. EDITORIAL:
CHURCH YOUNG AND RADIANT: WYD SYDNEY

After Paris in 1997, Rome 2000, Toronto in 2002, Cologne in 2005 for three years, hundreds of thousands of young Catholics around the world prepared the World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney Australia. For two years, driven by groups of young brave and enthusiastic, the WYD Cross, entrusted by Pope John Paul II in 1984, paved the way across Africa, Asia and Australia.

Braving every challenge - distances, languages, fatigue and travel costs - the "morning watchmen" were started up in early July. Thousands of enthusiastic groups were first meeting of young Catholics in Asia, Taiwan, Indonesia and Australia to find all July 15 in Sydney where they were met young Australians. It was a warm meeting of 350,000 young people among whom 30,000 were not recorded from China, Vietnam, Africa and the Pacific Islands through the generosity of churches and Western Australia. After 25 hours of flight, the plane landed Benedict XVI: WYD not without the presence of the pope, the symbol and guarantor of unity.

From day one, preceded by colorful native dances, a grand Eucharistic ceremony, on which floated the flags of 200 nations, was celebrated in the bay lit by a beautiful sunset. From Manila, had not ever WYD held so close to Asia. Also, all the young churches of the continent they had sent large delegations to Sydney. Inspired by the words of Jesus, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit and you will be my witnesses," the weekly program was bold and varied in this city of joy: catechesis led by hundreds of bishops, long hours confessions and celebrations with thousands of young priests who came with them, etc. festivities. Wonderful mix of faces and languages worldwide. Ubiquitous, Pope Benedict XVI was always hailed as the guarantor of the unity of the Church and the reference point in a chaotic world. Moving with incredible ease festive moments of contemplation, prayer and worship of Christ, these young people have understood very well that unity and brotherhood belong to the essence of the Church. TVs around the world showed pictures and most of Belgian newspapers have spoken: "But what a tour de force for the entire chain Vers l'Avenir of keeping its readers in ignorance of an event of such international scope! Not a word! It seems that anti-Christian wind blows in your lane "(a reader of Namur, rejected by this newspaper).

"I still see and heart this extraordinary experience in which I was able to meet the young face of the Church," said the Pope in Rome on 27-07, to Angelus. It was like a multicolored mosaic, composed of boys and girls from all over the world, all united by one faith in Jesus Christ ".

Some figures: 350,000 young people, even if the Australians were in half, there were 200 nations represented, including 54,000 Europeans (4,500 French and 460 Belgians); thirty cardinals and 400 bishops.

Great event in the world need faith and friendship of young Catholics in Sydney 2008 clearly demonstrated the need and benefit of the huge investment WYD lead to an extraordinary worldwide revival of the Church of Christ. On Sunday, July 20, during his homily at the solemn Eucharistic before announcing the next WYD in Madrid in 2011, the Holy Father said the World Days "contribute greatly to building a new world: an endless round of applause greeted these words. "Youth Jean Paul" has become "youth Benedict XVI, who raises wheat in the Church of Christ.

II. GOOD NEWS

Blessed Father Damien's canonization next
of Blessed Father Damien, the apostle of lepers, was enacted, even if the date is still unknown. Yves Leterme said that "it was a great honor for our country." But Karel De Gucht has refused "to Belgium enhanced through this new saint: 'it is not possible in the name of separation of church and state,' he said! "Mr. De Gucht he would adopt the same attitude if it were a secular activist getting a Nobel Prize? "Asks rightly La Libre Belgique (04-07-08). Is known that a statue of Father Damien (though a stranger) is long in Parliament in Washington? Dare we reject the request of two senators hope that Flemish is erected a statue of the saint in a corridor of Belgian Belgian Senate? ...

Immediately, William acknowledged that this was what he wanted to live, even though it was very difficult to break free of his drug. He can do with the confession: "I am a convert to the faith. Case Fourniret
To evoke the power of prayer, let us briefly (cf. Bioethics : Some successes ►
"Abstinence is not a burden but an opportunity" is what we said a young Belgian couple, Sophie and Dominique de Hemptinne. The natural regulation of births is as effective as hormonal contraceptives, while avoiding the physiological, psychological and moral means of artificial contraception is a matter of harmony between soul and body. The natural regulation "is used to find the beauty of desire, which is a value in itself, almost more important than the gratification of desire" (The Last Hour, 24-10-2003). ► The
return of the towers babies ": places where you can anonymously leave a baby who is then entrusted to foster parents while awaiting adoption. The biological mother shall have to return her child. Although abandoning babies is a bad thing, these boxes represent the lesser evil, avoiding mothers to resort to abortion is murder, with wild abandon, to infanticide and abuse.

Euthanasia: finally reactions!
► A map of dignity in end of life (1 million already in France) are now in Belgium, to slip in the portfolio as a map of the blood group. It allows to express the will of the card holder on end of life: rejection of euthanasia, palliative care use and refusal of aggressive treatment. ► courageous stance of Cardinal Danneels in his homily at the Easter Vigil on March 22 last: it denounced the laudatory tone of the media regarding the decision of Hugo Claus to end his days. Obviously the media did not miss the hammer ...
► Ghyns Michel, a philosopher at UCL (in LB 04/06/2008) states that euthanasia is a murder, is against the Hippocratic oath (always sworn by medical students). Decriminalization does not open under certain conditions a right to euthanasia: "No person may require a physician or institution that her request for euthanasia is satisfied." He also fears another pernicious form of social inequality between those who can afford a support palliative care and those who will be cornered, because of extreme poverty and loneliness, euthanasia.

40th anniversary of Humanae Vitae (25-7-1968) "A sign of contradiction"
Just published just after May 68!, The encyclical aroused unprecedented opposition within the Church Catholic herself. "Rarely in recent history of the Magisterium as a text is now a sign of contradiction that this encyclical (Cardinal Ratzinger). III. THE DEWBERRY that suffocate us

While the Sower has always generously sown its seeds, it might be feared, now in the West at the time of harvest, a harvest rather mediocre. Revisit this rich parable of the sower, where Jesus compares the seed of the Word of God and the land to four different behaviors. The men of the first category does not include the Word and those of the second lack depth to retain it. It is probably in the third category that we find ourselves, which we are immersed in the consumer society. Certainly we have heard and even hosted the Word, but our lifestyle might like brambles, strangle our spiritual growth. The Gospel Mark (4:18-19) explains why: "The cares of the world, the deceitfulness of riches and lusts multiple choke the word and make it sterile."

economy "global" was chosen as a key driver: the temptation. Everything is commodified and gradually, with a thousand temptations offered to our lusts, cons money. Unfortunately, it is a mirage for most people, whose incomes are increasingly cramped! Our existential hiding empty, news, commercials, entertainment fill our idle time, in a dizzying carousel of sounds and images, we suggest that we are "as gods" dignified access to all the pleasures in instantaneous interaction with the planet. To better hold us in their nets, at home or in public places, were diabolically in league: radio, television, cinema, internet, mobile phones and other electronic whatnot.

In 1930, back in the United States, Georges Duhamel already warned us in his masterful book, Scenes of a future life: "We support these impudent traffickers who defile anything that might sully the world, we treating it as a stupid herd with these sounds hateful, shameless these lights, these intrusions ... I affirm that a people bewildered by fugitive pleasures, epidermal, will be some day unable to rise, however little it may be, by the energy of thought. "

To enjoy and deepen the Word sown, the men of the fourth category require good soil, that is to say, silence outside and inside. Fleeing Rome in decline, St. Benedict, to seek God, wanted for the living in monasteries in the hills, isolated valleys where nature can elevate the soul (here: Soleilmont, Val-Dieu, Orval, Rochefort , Groenendaal, etc..). St. Bernard said: "The trees and rocks that can teach you teach any master. "

the 21st century, it is vital that we develop in our house, a small area of peace and timed to give appointment to the Lord. We must swim against the tide and take our distance vis-à-vis modern brambles prevent us in tune with the only Living Word. Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity, said: "I am silent, I listen." Jesus himself was accustomed to withdraw away to join his father intensely. Each

"dead time", each time waiting in the day at home or outside, should be exploited in an attempt to create a quiet interior, conducive to meditation. Rather than be drawn into a truly hellish pace (for example, working on Sunday to earn more, through all our evenings on the Internet, etc..), Our work carefully ground for the seed germinates What God gives and much fruit.

UCL or UL?
On January 29, 2008 seemed a debate in the Libre Belgique: should keep the "C" of the UCL? Paul Lowenthal, former Chairman of Interdiocesan lay advocates think about what the "C" means. "It is not enough to put a 'C', we must know what that means! Very little, it must be confessed. " As for Pr Lorant, he advocated the abolition of the "C", finding that the denomination is increasingly outdated and weird that this deletion would have a strategic advantage and would be a message to partners mean that "the University of Louvain has turned page regarding the link with the Church. "

Catholics and secularism in Belgium
(from The Cross of 25-07 and 21-07-08). There are today in fact, a "secular alliance in Belgium between Catholics and secularism that denies all dogma. Action Center secular (CAL) is at the Free University of Brussels (the "University of free inquiry," probably the only one in the world to be based on Free Thought). Its official song always ends with these words: "Rome trembles and falters before the Truth we group them around her against the papacy" ... A 2002 law supports secularism as the churches, "euthanasia, abortion are acquired, they must maintain," said one official. But there is currently wide compromise. Cardinal Danneels, though Chancellor of the Catholic University of Leuven, takes no position on embryos that traffic and there is even received by the grandmaster of the Grand Orient of Belgium.

He compared the pope to "engineer fool" produce cars with more speed "reverse" to the Church walk backwards, and he treats it as a "shepherd timid" about communion suggested on language and knees (and yet Peguy spoke of "beautiful kneeling right of a free man!") and Latin in the liturgy. Here are some excerpts of the many reactions of lay people who have condemned the remarks as unworthy of Readers' Into the future: "Imagine that the sales manager of an industrial society starts to proclaim that the CEO is a bit cheesy, The new product is not marketable ... This man would be dismissed immediately. Frankly, that's what you deserve. You're lucky I'm not your CEO. " [Rejected by Vers l'Avenir]

"That a Catholic who presents himself as 'faithful priest and largely traditional Roman Catholic Church' (!) And in addition highlights the title of canon (though just Honorary), that is surprising, surprised, shocked and deeply shocking the layman that I am practicing. To believe that the author did not even read the documents on the liturgy. For nowhere, for example, there is an obligation to communicate to its knees. In the Instruction of the Roman Congregation for Divine Worship (19-03-2004), reads: 'The faithful receive Communion kneeling or on the tongue, as may be determined by the Conference of Bishops, with the confirmation of Headquarters apostolic '(No. 90). Many are unaware that if the Church wishes - without imposing - Communion on the tongue, it is only through fear that the Host falling to the ground ... or even, for fear of desecration '(No. 92) because it would be swept away in a perverse goal (the hosts for the' black masses' sell very expensive ...). As for the 'Rehabilitation of Latin liturgy', Vatican II did not impose, but wishes to maintain, while also recognizing that the use of language can often be very useful for the people. The canon would he therefore opposed to Vatican II? ... And Benedict XVI himself, thinking of the great International Eucharistic so frequent, is that good, apart from the readings, the homily and the prayer of the faithful of them, are celebrated in Latin, 'to demonstrate the universality of the Church, but it does not require (Post-Synodal Exhortation The Sacrament of Love, No. 62). Lay people expect priests, not denigration, but encouragements to fidelity. " A layman

The Anglican Church on the edge of schism? After ordination
women to the priesthood (1994), remarriage of divorced clergy homosexuality, the ordination of here "women bishops" in the Anglican Church (77 million followers worldwide). Recall that, according to tradition, women "ordained" are not priests at all, despite the term 'women priests' ordination is ipso facto invalid, and if they ordain priests, men or women, these ordinations are obviously also invalid, and if some become bishops, they are neither priests nor bishops! It began in Canada in 2003 with the election of a Bishop "gay, married, divorced, practicing homosexual. Then
Episcopalians have placed at their head a "bishop" to top it all, we just married a solemn priest of the clergy of Westminster Abbey with a priest in New Zealand!
The Lambeth Conference in July 2008 was narrowly averted the schism, but the cracks remain inside: a majority voted for the ordination of "women bishops, archbishops and 300 bishops, but conservatives (especially in Africa and Australia) have refused to attend. Especially Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali says the vacuum created by the collapse of Christian culture may be filled by Muslim radicalism, and he blames the Christians not to attempt to convert Muslims to Christianity. These dissenting bishops representing 35 million adherents, want to create a "Church within the Church" with its own clergy, challenging the authority of the Archbishop of Canterbury and formed a new communion, and some would even come to Rome to a possible reconciliation. One thousand priests have threatened to leave their church if women were ordained bishops.
In Rome, we regret the decisions of Lambeth, because it is a new tear in the apostolic tradition maintained by all churches of the first millennium and a new obstacle, added full twenty-first century, reconciliation between the two Churches. Three Catholic cardinals have nevertheless been invited to present the views of Rome in Lambeth. For Cardinal Kasper, president of the Council for Christian Unity, "the ordination of women to the episcopate blocks substantially and permanently any possibility that the Catholic Church recognize Anglican Orders. Full communion has taken a step backwards . And Cardinal Ivan Diaz, former Archbishop of Bombay, is not dead hand. He spoke of a "spiritual Alzheimer's" Forgetting legacies of the past in a disorderly walk "without cooperation between the head and other members of the community" is an "ecclesial Parkinson's" which are victims of Churches "myopic in a fleeting present. " Christians must witness the beauty of their faith "without shame or complex."

They burned the country's holy places of meetings ... God, how long the enemy blaspheme? ... Do not let the beast kill your Dove ... Arise, God, defend your cause! "
(Psalm 73 [Hebrew 74] 3-4, 8, 10, 19, 22).

On the financing of worship

The issuance of the RTBF 04/09/2008 on the financing of religious organizations has raised many reactions, mostly in Vers l'Avenir. Here is a summary.

Whence the intervention of the state in charge of Catholic worship? After 1789, the State and the revolutionaries sold the property they had confiscated or stolen from the church and the land where they had burned abbeys. By the Concordat of 1801, we made an agreement to return these "national assets" ("black goods") form of subsidies to factories and treatment of church clergy. It is therefore not by a return of capital, but an annuity, which is not the number of practitioners. The financial state is a further justification in social assistance provided by the clergy. The Catholic Church was the only one to have been robbed of their own property, while neither the Jews nor Orthodox, nor Islam nor laymen have known this. To those who question the contribution of citizens who do not attend church, one could argue it's the same for all those who contribute through their tax-subsidized activities which they never take part: logically, the State should no longer fund sports activities, museums, day care, the National Theatre, ETC. pretext that it does not affect all citizens. That is also some opportunity to denounce the fortune amassed by the Church. This refrain seems to erase the immense work of charity to which was hitched (only!) Church, in the absence of CPAS and Social Security! The list of works would be long: for example, 2,000 leprosy in Europe, in addition to education and care of the poor.
